- Tithe
And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the
LORD’s. It is holy to the LORD.
Levictus 27:30
Among the different forms of giving, tithe is one that is directly mentioned and expounded on the
most in the scriputres. As per Levictus
27:30, Tithe is declared as the Lord's and holy to the Lord then in Malachi 3:10, The lord reveals to Man
what
happens to one who tithes.
- Prophetic Seed
He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who
receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.
Matthew 10:41
Receiving a Prophet in the name of a Prophet means acknowledging a person with your substance as one
divinely commissioned to minsiter from the office of a Prophet. We see this in Genesis 18:1 where Abraham saw three men
then
welcomed them by himself even though he had a number of servants and fed them with what he had.
Eventually in verse 10,
Abraham received a
Prophecy of bearing a Son.
- Special Seed
“Bring them here to me,” he said.
Matthew 14:18
Special seed is seed one sows to have the Lord deal with their situation in case one desires
something that is beyond him/her.
In Mathew 14:13-16, We
find the discples of
the Lord Jesus informing him that it would be best for the large crowd of 5000 to buy food for
themselves. In that difficult situation, the Lord told them to bring what they have to him which
acted as a special seed that birthed enough food with leftovers for everyone.
- Partnership
Also I heard the voice of the Lord , saying : “ Whom shall I send , And who will go for Us ? ” Then
I said , “ Here am I Send me.”
Isaiah 6:8
To partner with the ministry through your giving is to advance the Kingdom of God since God's
ultimate desire is to bring souls into his Kingdom. Thats why Paul writes in 1 Corinthinas 3:9 that we are God's
fellow
workers as another version says we are God's partners hence God asking in the book of Isaiah, “ Who will go for Us ? ”
- General Offering
Every man shall give as he is able, according to the
blessing of the LORD your God which He has given you.
Deutronomy 16:17
As children of God who received his spirit, we have enjoyed and are to enjoy blessings upon
blessings freely given. With that fact, we ought to bring a gift before the Lord or bring our
offering.
- Thanksgiving
In everything give thanks; for this is the will of
God in Christ Jesus for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
Throughout the scriptures we have seen Man give thanks to the Lord at every moment. In Psalms 68:9 we see the
Psalmist say Blessed be the
Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits,
The God of our salvation!, in Jeremiah
29:11 the Lord says, For I know the thoughts
that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future
and a hope. and in Lamentations 3:22-23 it says, Through the LORD’s mercies we are
not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.
No creature anywhere has that much love for Man apart from God. Thats why Man always gives thanks.
